Shanghai Shenhua’s talks with Didier Drogba are continuing “just as planned” a report in the Oriental Sports Daily.

Shenhua, bankrolled by video game mogul Zhu Jun, signed Drogba’s ex team mate Nicolas Anelka in December and now claims to have been in talks with the Ivory Coast international since at least January.

Drogba has been an integral part of the Chelsea squad since joining from Marseille in 2004. He has managed an impressive 157 goals in 341 appearances en route to helping the club win 10 trophies, the latest of which was the Champions
