Messi breaks Pele’s record – the little magician has done it again. After breaking Gerd Muller’s record of total number of goals for a club in a season last season, he has taken a step closer to breaking yet another record. The total number of goals scored in a calendar year for club and country. Gerd Muller tops this log with 85 goals while Pele was second with 75 but the diminutive Argentine has moved ahead of the Brazilian legend to 76 with the brace he scored last weekend against Mallorca. Now, he is just 7 goals short of equaling the German’s record and 8 short of setting a new one as he scored 2 more goals yesterday against Zaragoza. Who can stop Messi, can’t think of any now.

Asked whether he will consider bring him back to Old Trafford, Ferguson told a number of journalists: ‘I’d like to think it would be but I don’t think it will happen. ‘You’re talking about incredible amounts of money now. ‘What would you think his value would be? He’s definitely unbuyable.

Zaha arrives – It seems Arsenal are getting to terms with likely exit of English winger Theo Walcott. Wenger has moved swiftly to plug the likely hole by winning the race to sign Crystal Palace highly rated forward. With many top clubs racing for his signature, Arsenal seemed to have stolen a march on their rivals to acquire the highly sought after youngster. What Zaha lacks in top flight experience, he has abundantly in skills, potentials and confidence. The lad believes only Messi and Ronaldo are better attackers than him and he is not scared to face any full-back.

Still On Zaha : Several media outlets are reporting that Arsenal target and Crystal Palace’s sensation Wilfried Zaha is now wanted by Manchester United’s Sir Alex. It is been reported that Sir Alex is now ready to launch a bid for the Ivorien after getting good reports from his scouts and his son Darren. It is believed Sir Alex’s son Darren who manages Peterborough has recommended Zaha to his father after his Peterborough team was ripped apart by Zaha a few weeks ago and all the scouts sent to watch Zaha have only positive things to say about the lad so far.

Mario Balotelli : Mario Balotelli’s agent has moved to deny reports that his client is set to leave the Etihad Stadium in January. Several newspapers have reported that the Italian has been told to look for a new club as Roberto Mancini looks to offload him in order to raise the money needed to sign Athletico Madrid’s Falcao.

During the week, several English newspapers have reported that City manager Roberto Mancini is preparing a £50m January deal for the Uruguayan. Sagna’s contract stalls – while Gunners are celebrating the commitment and loyalty of Carl, a blow came in the mould of Sagna’s contract deadlock. It was peddled in the media that the Frenchman has stalled on the new contract offered him by Gunners’ hierarchy. While am satisfied by Jenkinson’s massive improvement this season, I still believe he needs an older head to pilot him through for now. It is high time Arsenal stop loosing key and top players every season. The exodus must stop! Inter are sniffing around to nick him but I sincerely hope he stays a Gunner.

No EPL move for Klaas-Jan Huntelaar : Klaas-Jan Huntelaar’s agent has denied his client has signed an agreement with an unnamed EPL club.
